Vetted Auto Inspections

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

Vetted Auto Inspections (“we”, “us”) is an independent, owner-operated mobile pre-purchase vehicle inspection business serving Los Angeles County, Orange County and the Inland Empire, and operates vettedautoinspections.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

Information we collect

We collect two kinds of information: what you choose to send us, and limited information collected automatically when you use the site.

Information you submit through the quote request form:

  • Your name
  • Your phone number
  • Your email address
  • Vehicle details you provide (year, make, model, listing link)
  • The location of the vehicle
  • Any additional details you include in the message field
  • For multi-vehicle (fleet) requests: your company or organization name, buyer type, number and types of vehicles, timeline, preferred date, and any vehicle list you provide

Information you share directly. If you contact us by phone, text, email or Instagram, we collect whatever you choose to share, typically your name, contact details, and details about the vehicle and the seller.

We do not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for payment information through this website.

Information collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies from Google (see “Advertising and analytics” below): the pages you visit, how you arrived at the site (for example, from a Google ad), your approximate location derived from your IP address, your device and browser type, and whether you tapped our phone number, tapped our email address, or submitted the quote form.

How we use it

We use the information you submit for one purpose: to respond to your inspection request, provide a quote, and schedule and carry out the inspection. If you become a customer, we may contact you about that specific job.

We also use the automatically collected information to measure which of our Google ads lead to inquiries, and to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. We do not add you to a marketing list without your agreement.

We do not sell your information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information for money. As described below, Google receives information about your use of this site, and hashed contact details if you submit the quote form, so that we can measure our advertising. Under California law this may be considered “sharing” for advertising purposes. You can opt out at any time using the options under “Your choices”.

Service providers

Form submissions are processed by Formspree, a third-party form-handling service, which delivers your message to our email. Formspree processes the data on our behalf and is subject to its own privacy policy. Our email is hosted by Google (Gmail). Advertising measurement and site analytics are provided by Google, as described below.

Payments

Payments are made directly to Vetted Auto Inspections by Zelle, through a PayPal invoice, or in cash in person. A PayPal invoice can be paid with a PayPal account, Venmo, Apple Pay, or a credit or debit card, and those payments are processed by PayPal. This website does not collect or store card, bank or payment account details.

When you pay by Zelle or through a PayPal invoice, your payment details are handled by that service and are subject to its own privacy policy and terms. If you choose Venmo or Apple Pay on the invoice, Venmo or Apple also handles your information under its own privacy policy. We receive only what is needed to confirm your payment, such as your name and the amount paid.

Photos and inspection findings

Photos and general findings from completed inspections may be used on this website, on social media and in other marketing. Before any such use, we remove anything that identifies you, including your name, contact details and license plates. If you would rather we not use anything from your inspection, let us know and we will honor that.

Advertising and analytics

Google Ads conversion tracking. We advertise on Google. This site uses the Google tag to record when a visitor who arrived from one of our ads calls us, emails us, or submits the quote form, so we can see which ads are working. Google may set cookies on your device to do this, and may also use your visit to show our ads to you again on other sites (known as remarketing).

Enhanced conversions. When you submit the quote form, the email address and phone number you entered are hashed (converted into a one-way scrambled code) in your browser before being sent to Google. Google uses the hashed data only to match your inquiry to an ad interaction; it does not receive your details in readable form from this process.

Google Analytics. We may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed and how people find us. Google Analytics uses cookies and receives information such as your IP address, device and pages visited.

How Google uses this data is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Fonts on this site are also loaded from Google Fonts, which may record your IP address as part of serving that request.

How long we keep it

We keep inspection request correspondence for as long as needed to provide the service and to maintain ordinary business records. You may ask us to delete your information at any time using the contact details below.

Your choices

You may ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Contact us at vettedautoinspections@gmail.com or (562) 655-6878 and we will respond.

California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the CPRA where that law applies to a business. Regardless of whether those thresholds apply to us, we will honor requests to access or delete your information.

Opting out of advertising tracking. You can:

  • Turn on Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser. This site detects GPC and turns off advertising cookies and enhanced conversions for you automatically.
  • Manage or turn off personalised ads at adssettings.google.com.
  • Install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • Block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

This site honours the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as an opt-out of advertising tracking, as described above. Browsers’ older “Do Not Track” setting has no agreed industry standard, and this site does not respond to it separately. If you want to opt out, use GPC or the options listed under “Your choices”.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a revised date.
